Services for clients

Hundreds of PAWS clients rely on PAWS to help them provide the basic essentials to keep and care for their beloved animals. Services provided by PAWS are free of charge and on a best efforts basis. The assistance is dependent on donations and volunteer availability.

Here's what a client receives:

Pet food & Supplies

P.A.W.S. clients and their companion animals receive free pet food, cat litter and other supplies.  Each month friendly volunteer drivers deliver food right to the doorstep.  Clients may also opt to pick up food at the Euclid office on designated days.

Veterinary assistance

Clients receive $200 in vet vouchers for veterinary services per pet each year. All appointments and estimates are approved by P.A.W.S. prior to being sent to the vet.  Services are limited as we do not provide for spay/neuter, vaccines, on-going medications, teeth cleaning or nail trimming.

Animal transportation

Clients may request assistance with transportation of their companion animals to and from veterinarian and grooming appointments.

Pet Aftercare

No one wants to think about the death of their companion animal but when it happens, we don't want our clients to worry.  San Diego Pet Memorial Park will provide  cremation services for all P.A.W.S. companion animals.

Pet Resources

You don't have to be a client to call us for information on animal-related resources.  PAWS has partnered with many social and animal service organizations to help San Diego County residents get their questions answered.  We will try to provide you with websites and phone numbers to organizations that might be able to help you.
